After the successful Jubilee show held last year in honour of HRH Queen Elizabeth we staged a similar event this time for King Charles.
The event SOLD OUT a few days before the event with 180 tickets issued to members.
Only a few members decided to stay at home on the day with a further few using their normal everyday car for the event.
It was a great turnout for the group despite the constant threat of rain showers.
SADCASE members started to arrive just after 8.00am and then in big numbers from 8.30am.
They all received the unique rally plate, and an entry form to enter their car as the CAR OF THE SHOW.
There were many very good entries on the day that would grace any car show.
The winner however was a well turned out Black Ford Granada first used by the Queen on the private roads at Balmoral owned the chauffeur of Princess Margaret.
A very happy entrant accepted his cup with much applause from the many SADCASE members waiting to see if their car had won.
Maybe next time?
Robert Carter thanked members for attending and reminded them all of the new website domain name. www.sadcasecarclub.co.uk
It seems Google is at last recognising the new name with sadcasecarclub.co.uk now rising quickly up the ratings.
We had many favourable comments from members looking forward to our main Storrington event in July.
The rain had held off with only a few drops falling at 10.30am
Maybe the sun may shine brightly in July.
We hope to see you all there!
