We have just returned from a successful Cranleigh Show. The field was very hot with the August sun beating down on so many classic and unique vehicles. Our SADCASE area in ZONE A was one of the largest with some 40 plus cars parked neatly in two rows. We now look forward to our own SUNDAY show on the Bank Holiday weekend.-24th AUGUST.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the day on the Storrington field. A great deal of time and effort has been spent in organising this show for you. If you intend to be there then please apply for your ticket ASAP to give us an indication of numbers.
The price before the show is just £5 and £10 on the day for any other show car wishing to enter the show field. It is very easy to apply. Just click on the link below and purchase a ticket. £5. We believe this is great value when other shows charge many times this sum. Please remember that there are many bills to pay. Bins, Toilets, Ambulance services, Public Liability Insurance, Rally plates and more.
What to expect
There will be Food and drink stalls, motormobilia stands and a comprehensive Hepworths Brewery Beer tent offering Beer, Wine, Cider and soft drinks.
Our usual resident Disc Jockey Michael John will be spinning records all day keeping us entertained.
We will be taking photos of our wonderful cars with prizes handed out on the day for the Car (or motorcycle, tractor and more) of the show and the most unusual vehicle.
GEARBOX Marquee
Come and meet the Gearbox committee where membership cards can be handed out free of charge and the much sought after windscreen stickers and more can be purchased. This is the place where members can leave input for next year.
The Goodwood trips for example have been missing from our itinerary this year due to the pressures of putting on the annual show. Would you like more of these? We will be arranging a trip later however to view the Goodwood Marshal's track day when there may be some SADCASE cars on track to cheer on.
Please tell us if you liked the Sunday morning meeting at the Camelia Botnar Garden Centre. This is a good event for members to the north and east of Storrington and a great way of starting the day by breakfasting with fellow SADCASE members. There are other venues however as already suggested by some. We look forward to your suggestions. SADCASE is YOUR club.
Tickets
The new speedy ticket system based on showing or printing your official receipt is working well. This seems more efficient and saves hours of time creating bespoke tickets. We will issue additional tickets to place in the windscreen if members buy multiple tickets in one transaction.

This year we have halved the fee to £5 if purchased online anytime before the event and £10 as last year for those who would rather wait. We know what we would prefer.
It is important to remember that members purchasing their tickets at £5 beforehand have priority. If the field is full then there will not be any £10 tickets available on the day. This is our showcase event of the year when we expect the field to be buzzing with cars, members and excitement.
Help on the day
7As already mentioned, we are in need of help as usual so would ask for members' support. Duties may include marshal support both on field and road, gazebo building and general assistance.
