October's car of the month is a 1971 MGB Roadster Sebring Recreation recently purchased by member Paul Addison. The car had been used as a fast road/track car since the 1980’s, but was subsequently taken off the road to undergo a nut and bolt restoration by the previous owner. Due to advancing years, the previous owner decided to sell the car after restoration before taking it on the track again. Finished in its original Tartan Red, the car is fitted with a new Stage 2 1950cc Oselli engine mated to an overdrive gearbox with lowered suspension all round. Other features include a full Sebring body kit, an aluminium bonnet, fibreglass wings, works hard top, Safety Devices roll cage, racing harnesses, Cobra bucket seats and knock on/off Minator alloys with Avon tyres all round. Plans are to re-paint the hard top in period Old English White before using the car again for track day use.
